This is the time of year when it seems like every week brings excitement about upcoming events, combined with new show announcements.

This week is no exception, as we make final preparations for the Young Professionals mix and mingle event before Pink Martini performs tomorrow night.  Then we have the Broadway show I've been waiting to see all season, in the all-new, edgy production of Camelot.  I had the privilege to speak with the actor who plays Lancelot for our Behind the Scenes with The Hanover Theatre program, and I'm literally counting down the days until this show opens and I see it with my mother this weekend.

If you read my weekly columns in GoLocal Worcester, then you also know that I'm looking forward to sharing an irreverent and hysterical evening with my two best friends when Wanda Sykes, known as one of America's 25 Funniest People, returns to our stage next Friday.

In other news, we are proud to announce that Peppa Pig, the Nick Jr. hit and preschool sensation, is coming to the theatre December 8. Tickets will be available to our members this Thursday at 10am, before going on sale to the public on Saturday, May 9 at 10am.

We're proud to be a community resource and gathering place where good ideas come to fruition every day.  It fits that The Hanover Theatre will host TEDx Auburn Middle School, a celebration of "ideas worth spreading" in central Massachusetts. The event will take place from 5:30-7:30pm on June 8 and will feature short talks by a variety of impressive inspirational speakers and leaders. Please note that this event is free and open to the public!

See you at the theatre,

Camelot
May 8-10

Experience Camelot's "one brief shining moment" as Lerner and Loewe envisioned it in one of theatre's most legendary musicals. Recount the time-honored legend of King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, and the Knights of the Round Table in an enchanting fable of chivalry, majesty, and brotherhood in this four-time Tony Award® winning show.

Intimate and fresh, never has this story of passion, pageantry and betrayal been more captivating. The celebrated score includes the classics "If Ever I Would Leave You," "The Simple Joys of Maidenhood," and the title song, "Camelot."

Listen to Lancelot actor, Tim Rogan discuss the show on Behind the Scenes with the Hanover Theatre.
