We're Expanding!
New office space and new waiting space

Our client base has expanded in the last couple of months and our new work and waiting spaces are now open!
The new office space backs up to tall pines and basks in natural sunlight.  We are now accepting new clients in our new space!
Parents and siblings also have a comfy spot to work or wait.  We've stocked the area with all the essentials like Sally Shaywitz's Over Coming Dyslexia and Ben Foss's book The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan.
NEW! Screening Services

These screening services are available to families information whether or not a client fits the classic profile of dyslexia.  This process is not intended for use in determining eligibility for school-based intervention.

Consultation Only, $ 300
Goal:  Determine if your child fits the dyslexia profile based solely on an in-depth records review, examination of current schoolwork samples, and information shared by you in a face-to-face interview.  If so, recommendations for tutoring and accommodations will be provided.

Consultation plus Screening and Short Written Report, $900
Goal:  Determine if your child fits the dyslexia profile based on the information listed above, plus administer and score 8 informal screening tools to determine if your child fits the dyslexia profile and has weaknesses in the areas listed in the research-based definition of dyslexia.  Results of the screening will be reviewed in a face-to-face meeting with you, and you will leave with a concise 12 page written report that lists the results, my conclusion, and recommendations for tutoring and classroom accommodations.

"When I started tutoring with you, you told me that some days would be fun and some days would be hard.  On a scale of one to ten, I think it's an 11.  It's sometimes hard but really fun. I also think you should put in a mini fridge so the waters can be cold."

From the Director: Every one of the students I work with is my absolute favorite at the that particular time. I adore them, I am so proud of their progress and I am so excited that we are engaging the POWER of YET everyday!  Keep it up- amazing kiddos!
Why the HAPPY Rule Matters

The "Happy" Spelling Rule: Short vowels must be closed.  If you can't hear anything closing it off, double the next sound you can hear.   If the sign creator followed this rule, the sign would read "SUP-PER" Club and not "SU-PER" Club!
