The 2014 SEMA Show is set for November 4-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and Sunnen's Automotive Team will be on hand to demonstrate honing systems that have helped make Sunnen a "shop-hold name" since 1924.

The Sunnen SV-20 Honing System

Sunnen will demonstrate its two most popular honing systems for engine builders at The SEMA Show 2014.

 

The SV-20 honing system, developed specifically for race shops, production rebuilders and fleet maintenance facilities, combines Sunnen's linear servo-stroking technology with the power and capacity to drive multi-stone diamond tools for OEM-quality bore geometry on automotive blocks and cylinder liners. The GH-series hone heads are the tools of choice for use with the SV-20 honing machine. Metal bond CBN or diamond abrasives provide fast cutting action and reduced cycle times. The GHTS two-stage hone head is a one-tool solution for both rough and fine honing operations, without changing stones, to reduce bore sizing costs. The GHSS single-stage hone head is also available for use with the SV-20 honing system.

The Sunnen SV-10 Honing System

Sunnen's SV-10 Automatic Cylinder Hone combines the latest technology with the consistency and dependability of the legendary CV-616.

With two motors, one for the spindle and one for the stroker, the SV-10 runs standard Sunnen tools as well as Sunnen's new DH-series diamond hone head.

The DH-series diamond hones, with multiple points of cutting action, are optimized for the power range of the SV-10 honing machine. The DH-series provides rounder bores and a precision surface finish with crosshatch angle in each cylinder.
