This survey is intended to gather input from a diverse range of residents, business owners, property owners, workers, and visitors to Glens Falls' downtown. Input from this survey will be used to help prioritize projects for funding by the Downtown Revitalization Initiative. Contest for Start Up Niche Retailer Proposed for Glens Falls Downtown Revitalization Initiative
GLENS FALLS - Glens Falls Councilman-at-Large Dan Hall has proposed using a portion of the city's $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant for a realty show-type contest to identify and support start-up niche retail businesses on South Street.
"If we redo and refurbish all these buildings, we're going to have a lot of empty space," said Hall, co-chairman of the local Downtown Revitalization Initiative Committee.

Snow Grooming Equipment Dealer Pushing Into Albany Region
Snow grooming equipment dealer Mohawk Industrial Werks is preparing to expand into the region by constructing a distribution and service center in Queensbury, New York.
The central New York parts supplier of PistenBully grooming machines and all-terrain tracked vehicles is looking to construct a 12,000-square-foot warehouse just west of Exit 18 of the Interstate 87 Northway in Warren County.

Adirondack Visitor Center Eyed for Northway
QUEENSBURY >> Plans are in the works for a more than $1 million visitor center welcoming travelers to the Adirondacks.
Groundbreaking is expected next spring for the facility, located at a rest stop on the northbound side of the Northway, just over the Saratoga County line between the Hudson River and Exit 18.
Plans call for interactive displays, kiosks, regional photos, an electric vehicle charging station, a Taste of NY exhibit touting New York foods and a boat wash station for people headed to Lake George.
"It will be a whole new building," said state Sen. Betty Little, R-Glens Falls.
