BASEBALL TEAM VOLUNTEERS AT TOYS FOR TOTS & FOOD DRIVE

Assistant coach and CCHS alumnus Lou Marshall organized the Fighting Irish Baseball Team's participation in the annual Toys for Tots and Christmas Food Drive for the second consecutive year. Coach Marshall reports:

"It was an incredible success. We filled a large van loaded from front to back and floor to ceiling with food and dropped it off to the Cathedral Kitchen and we will also be presenting them with a $500.00 dollar check as a result of the humanitarian award I am accepting on November 28th . We also filled a large Marine truck over flowing with toys. This was a great thing, but the thing I am most proud of, is the fact that every person who had an interaction with the players from our baseball team commented on what good kids they are and how in some cases their work made people come back and donate. These kids are really fine young men and although we only have them on the baseball field for what seems like a short time the rest of the Camden Catholic community as well as their parents should be very proud of them."

Well-done, team!
