GIRLS VOLLEYBALL NEWS

The girls volleyball team traveled to Union Catholic for the state quarterfinal match. Unfortunately the season ended there, but the team had the opportunity to meet CCHS Hall of Famer, Sr. Percylee Hart, who is now principal of Union Catholic High School. She is pictured in the back row, center, with both teams.

Congratulations to the Fighting Irish on a hard-fought season, and on bringing home the Conference Championship in only their third season!

PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION PROGRAM
  • CCHS is a proud participant in the Play Like A Champion program, created by the University of Notre Dame. The Play Like A Champion approach is based on four simple steps that will build a strong sense of the team as a moral community, which in turn will help adolescents to GROW.
Athletic director Ms. Marlene Grimes and Leadership Academy director Mr. Gabe Paoletti (pictured at left) were trained in the program this summer at UND. Each week we will share a lesson from the program, which they have been disseminating to coaches and players since the start of the 2014 academic year.

TRUE CHAMPIONS
True champions and those who know how to coach them understand the connection between peak performance, play and enjoyment. True Champions do not rest on past laurels or work for future ones. True Champions understand that there is no other way to be a Champion than to PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION TODAY!
