FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents:

I hope your students had a great first week of school!  We spent this past week setting new routines and getting all of the students back into their regular school days after a relaxing summer.  It was a pleasure welcoming our new students this week.  The class of 2018 had a great time at the Freshman BBQ in the courtyard while their parents enjoyed time together in our new dining hall.  Thanks to everyone for coming and to the Parents' Association for their assistance in welcoming our new families.

This Monday, September 15 is our first Early Release Day.  During these special schedule days, we do not have an activity period, and students are dismissed at 1:48 p.m.  The buses come at that time for pick up.  The teachers stay for the remainder of the day and work on professional development objectives in large and small groups.  We have special topics for these days with a good deal of our time this year focused on our Middle States Visit in December.

This week we will also have our Back to School Night on Thursday.  This is a parent only evening where you have a chance to hear about teacher expectations for your students this year.  I hope to see all parents there.  It's a great night for our families to see a glimpse of what we do on a daily basis.  I would just remind everyone that this is not a night for individual conferences.  If you do need to see any faculty member for an extended meeting, please email them and ask for an appointment.

Speaking of email, I would ask that all parents and students update their Edline accounts.  If you are new to CCHS, both parents and students received log in information over the summer.  Both accounts must be activated.  We will be reaching out to families with inactive accounts.  Also, if you have an active account, please check your contact information to be sure that all phone numbers and emails are up to date.  Remember, this is our primary means of communication.  We want to be able to reach you.  If you need assistance with Edline, please contact Mrs. Buroojy in the main office.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Sincerely,
Heather Crisci
Principal
