Friends Auction Starts This Week

March 1 is the kickoff of the Friends of the St. Pete Beach Library’s semi-annual basket silent auction.  Beautifully appointed baskets of pristine books are available for bid.  Each basket contains a single selection of books from artists to World War II (Europe).  Bidding ends Mar. 31 at 5 p.m. Winners will be notified by telephone.  All proceeds go to support the Library. Fees on Ticket, Fines Waived

The Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office are waiving collection fees when citizens pay outstanding fines and fees in full through Mar. 10. Anyone with a Pinellas County case that’s gone unpaid for more than 90 days and has had additional ‘collection’ fees assessed qualifies. Gulfport Art and Gallery Walk
Mar. 3, 6 - 10 p.m. Beach Boulevard

Observe and purchase from artists at work, local authors, arts and craft vendors and entertainers stretched over a half-mile. Live musicians, view the stars through St. Pete Astronomy Club’s state of the art telescopes, weather permitting. Click here for info. 
18th Annual Rotary Tennis & Golf Challenge
Mar. 3 & 4, times vary,  Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis

The Gulf Beaches Rotary Club and the City of Treasure Island join forces for this 18th annual event.

Mar. 4, 9 a.m. Tennis Challenge with men’s and women’s Tennis Doubles Round Robin - all playing levels.

Mar. 4, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Gulf Beaches Historical Museum

2017 marks the 100th anniversary of the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum building and the 60th anniversary of the City of St Pete Beach. The celebration will include a car show, live music, vendors, food, beer and wine and lots of fun. Click here for info.

Gulfport's Pink Flamingo Tour
Mar. 4, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Gulfport Welcome Center

Gulfport's 12th Annual Pink Flamingo Tour of Homes benefits the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce. Tour eight wonderful homes as well as the Blueberry Patch, Community Garden and Tomlinson Park. Pre-sale tickets are $20, day of tour tickets are $25. Click here for info.
