Join us for Art in 15 participating Art Walk venues

     The July 3 Art Walk kicks off the July 4th weekend with new artist exhibits, live demonstrations, live music, tastings, hands-on art activities and more in 15 participating venues, 6-10 p.m. 


 

     The Springfield Art Museum offers you a free shuttle ride between the Museum and Art Walk 6-9 p.m. 

 

     Get all the details, plus full-color photos and our printed map including shuttle stops, in Art Walk News, our print newsletter, available at any official Art Walk location!

 

     Finally, don't forget Second Saturday July 11. This month we have something brand new: a Chalk Walk, with awesome sidewalk chalk art and hands-on art for all ages!

Calaboose
Springfield Hot Glass Studio invites  you to Live Demonstrations of the Glassblower's Art during the July 3 Art Walk. A working hot glass studio/gallery with facilities for furnace, torch and kiln work, Springfield Hot Glass offers live demonstrations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and First Fridays! 

Springfield Police Museum at The Calaboose, 409 W. McDaniel, is open to the public during First Friday Art Walk! The Calaboose, Springfield's original jail, was built in 1891 and used until the 1940s. The historic display covers a wide variety of fascinating crimes, lawmen and relics of law enforcement past. 

Springfield Pottery, a fine craft studio,  presents  fine craft by over 45 local, regional and national artists. Open for First Friday and Second Saturday.

Transformation Gallery & Tattoo is a venue for Original Fine Artwork by Gabe Tenneson and Austin Evans. Open for First Friday and Second Saturday.

 Park Central Branch Library invites you to enjoy its display of Pen and Ink Drawings by Eric Ray, and at 6 p.m., learn how to use string to creatively embroider standard headphones to keep them from getting tangled. String will be provided, bring your own ear buds. Looking ahead to Second Saturday July 11, the library presents Natural Soap Making 2-3:30 p.m. for age 12 and older. The Library will also host original sidewalk chalk art July 11.
