Many of the caroling locations are indoors but we recommend that if rain is in the forecast, your child wear a hat or coat with a hood.

More middle school carolers are needed for this fun event!

Third Annual BSS Week of Holiday Giving!
Throughout this week our Blessed Sacrament School students are participating in a Week of Holiday Giving. Students are giving back to our local community in the following ways: providing a Christmas for two families through the Christmas Cheer organization, helping the shelter at Allied Churches by providing "new home starter bags" for families leaving the shelter to move into their own homes, providing place mats for Meals on Wheels recipients, creating cards for Blessed Sacrament Church shut ins, baking and delivering cookies to our community fire and police departments, showing appreciation to our Hillcrest Avenue neighbors, ringing the bell at Harris Teeter for our local Salvation Army, and other classroom projects.

Blessed Sacrament School is blessed to have the opportunity to share the joy of giving with our students and hope you will support us in this endeavor.
School Wide Project-Christmas Cheer Families
This year our National Junior Honor Society students approached their adviser, Mrs. Bost about supporting two families in need through the Christmas Cheer organization. Our Christmas Cheer families are this year's school wide project and we hope that families will donate as you're able to help us provide the two families a joyous Christmas. NJHS students will be outside the multi purpose room each morning to accept your UNWRAPPED gifts. Please label family #1 or family #2 based on your selection on the sign up.

Please contact Aileen Bost with any questions at

Parents watch your email for individual class opportunities to support the projects listed above.

From the Principal's Desk
Dear BSS Community,

Words are not enough for your giving generosity this week. Thank you for all the gifts for the two adopted Christmas Cheer families. They will have a Christmas that they will never forget. The ornaments for the neighborhood families, treats to our police and firefighters, cards for the shut-ins and inmates, collection of items for the families moving on from the Allied shelter, and everything that is being done this week demonstrates the largeness of our school community. In the words of Pope Francis: "Love and charity, are service, helping others, serving others…When you forget yourself and think of others, this is love!
