Middle School Recognition Ceremony, 8:15 a.m. in the Multi Purpose Room
-New this year!  Students in 5th-8th grade will receive recognition for School Spelling Bee, Math Crunchers, AYLA participation, 3rd Trimester STREAM Award, and Academic Honors.  In addition, students in eighth grade will receive recognition for Student Council Participation and receive the Briggs Service Award and Scholar Athlete Award.

Wednesday, May 31st
LAST DAY FOR LITTLE KNIGHTS & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS (5th-7th)
Little Knights End of Year Picnic, 10:00 a.m. at City Park
-Little Knights and their families will meet at City Park at 10:00 a.m. for the End of Year Picnic.  Students will release from City Park at 12:00 p.m. and this is the last day of school for Little Knights.

Fifth-Seventh Grade 2nd Annual Dodge Ball Tournament & Ice Cream Sundae Party, 1:00 p.m.

Eighth Grade Mass & Middle School Awards, 6:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church
-All middle school students are asked to attend.  During the Middle School awards we will recognize 5th-7th grade recipients of the Geography Bee Award, Taffy Young Award, Volunteer Award, and Citizenship Award.
-Eighth grade awards include Knights of Columbus Patriotism Award, Knights of Columbus Citizenship Award, Charlotte and Charles Maye Award, Leonard Tyll Sportsmanship Award, Pastor's Award, and the Principal's Award.

ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE THEIR FINAL REPORT CARD AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE GRADUATION AND AWARDS.

Thursday, June 1st
LAST DAY FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
Kindergarten Graduation & Reception, 10:00 a.m. in the Multi Purpose Room
-Kindergarten students will dismiss for the school year with their family after the reception.

National Junior Honor Society Induction
Last Friday The Blessed Sacrament School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society welcomed 13 new members to the 2017-18 class.  Congratulation to seventh graders Anna Hirose, Allison Orozco-Rosaldo, Noah Goodman, Mae Glenn, Keira Dappen, and Nathan Amyot and sixth graders Eleanor Arcaro-Burbridge, Caden Troutman, Alex Solari, Timothy Hackman, David Armstrong, Patricia Tayn, and Ella Kate Porfilio for receiving this honor.  Our four charter members were also recognized for their work this year.  Thank you Samantha Young, Daniella Urgiles, Srikar Kavirayuni, and Daniel Brasington for your efforts toward a successful Math-A-Thon and for the helping hands, "can do" attitude, and unwavering smiles assisting Mrs. Hackman in the Admissions Office.

Today we welcome 25 rising Kindergarten students and their families to BSS!  The future is bright for Blessed Sacrament School and the Class of 2026!

Summer Class Gatherings
Please contact the Admissions Office if you are willing to serve as host or hostess this summer for a class play date or movie night!  This play date can be at the school playground or a local park and the movie night at BSS.  I'll provide the snack and beverages if you'll serve as the friendly and welcoming face of the event!  I'm looking for hosts or hostesses for preschool through third grade play dates and 4th grade through 8th grade movie nights.  Email thackman@bssknights.org for questions or to set a date!

Western Alamance High School is offering a volleyball camp  June 12th to June 15th .  It is from  8am to Noon .  Cost is $125 per participant.
