From Blessed Sacrament Church-Bulletin Advertising
Are you interested in an opportunity to advertise your business or promote your company's special offers in a trusted resource that Parish families utilize every day? If you are, please contact Joe Sheehy from Liturgical Publications.

Your ad will appear in each weekly printed bulletin as well as on the Parish's website.  A digital ad is included with a direct link to your business webpage or Facebook page with the purchase of any two block or greater size ad.  Professional ad design is included in all ad pricing.

This is a great opportunity to promote your business each week and support the Parish at the same time.  The advertisements also pay for the weekly bulletins the Parish receives so we are always looking for more businesses to sponsor an ad for us.

If you'd like to participate, now is a great time!  Contact Joe Sheehy at 203.231.0727 or   jsheehy@4lpi.com.

From the Principal's Desk
Dear BSS Families,

Last week's PECSSA Basketball Tournament was a great success for our school. We received many compliments especially about the great food in or concession because it is not just pizza. Thank you to all who came out and volunteered for this event.  Also, please take the time to go to the Holly Hill Mall and vote for our cansculpt "Green Eggs and Ham." It is always a great day to be a Knight!

Mrs. Gomez
Shamrock Tournament
This weekend our Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball and our cheerleaders will be traveling to Charlotte for the Shamrock Tournament. Middle School students from Catholic schools as far away as Georgia come to play basketball for the weekend. In addition, there is a cheerleading exhibit followed by Mass. It is wonderful to see so many students from different states coming together for a fun-filled basketball weekend.

Hydroponic Garden
Middle School students enjoyed the process of constructing a hydroponic tower garden. This tower and related equipment was funded by the Bright Ideas Grant hosted by the Piedmont Electric Membership Cooperation.
Students prepared and tested 40 gallons of tap water to check chlorine levels, assembled the tower's electrical system including its pump and grow lights.   Finally they planted their first batch of 20 seedlings, including lettuce, celery and cilantro. A huge thank you to parent helper Lisa Waldmann for lending a hand to Mrs. Sebastian during Engineering class for this awesome project! Stay tuned for more pictures as our seedlings grow into edible produce!
