Knight News
Third Annual BSS Week of Holiday Giving!
Throughout the week of December 4th-8th our Blessed Sacrament School students will participate in a Week of Holiday Giving. Students will give back to our local community in the following ways: provide a Christmas for two families through the Christmas Cheer organization, help the shelter at Allied Churches by providing "new home starter bags" for families leaving the shelter to move into their own homes, provide place mats for Meals on Wheels recipients, create cards for Blessed Sacrament Church shut ins, bake and deliver cookies to our community fire and police departments, show appreciation to our Hillcrest Avenue neighbors, ring the bell at Harris Teeter for our local Salvation Army, and other classroom projects.

Blessed Sacrament School is blessed to have the opportunity to share the joy of giving with our students and hope you will support us in this endeavor.
School Wide Project-Christmas Cheer Families
This year our National Junior Honor Society students approached their adviser, Mrs. Bost about supporting two families in need through the Christmas Cheer organization. Our Christmas Cheer families are this year's school wide project and we hope that families will donate as you're able to help us provide the two families a joyous Christmas. NJHS students will be outside the multi purpose room each morning to accept your UNWRAPPED gifts. Please label family #1 or family #2 based on your selection on the sign up.

Please contact Aileen Bost with any questions at abost@bssknights.org

Parents watch your email for individual class opportunities to support the projects listed above.

From the Principal's Desk
Dear BSS Community,

I hope everyone had a wonderful and memorable Thanksgiving. This morning I spent time with the preschool during music class. They were singing their song for our Christmas Concert and learning about the birth of Jesus. Afterwards, I saw the 8th grade practicing for the St. Nick skits which will take place next Wednesday, 12/6. I believe the spirit of Christmas is in the air!

Mrs. Gomez

Time for Twos
Blessed Sacrament School's Time for Twos program is designed as a gentle introduction to school. Our program encourages children to work in a group, explore new materials, and make age-appropriate development transitions.

Our Program Time for Twos meets on Wednesdays for two sessions, one in the Fall (September to December) and one Winter/Spring (January to March). The 45-minute meetings are led by Program Director, Jill Zang Glenn.

Each child must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver A typical meeting includes an art project, free play, story and music.

Time for Twos is still enrolling for the Fall 2017 session as well as the Winter 2018 session. If you are interested in enrolling your child please contact Tara Hackman at admissions@bssknights.org or 336.570.0019.
