Blessed Sacrament School Christmas Concert
The Blessed Sacrament Christmas Concert is Thursday, December 15th at Blessed Sacrament Church (1620 Hanford Road, Graham).  The concert begins at 7:00 and our HSA will host a reception immediately following in the church Gathering Space.

All students in preschool-8th grade have practiced and prepared for this event.  Performers should arrive by 6:30 p.m. to the church.

Please note that Club Knight closes at 4:45 p.m. so that everyone has time to prepare for the program.

Preschool through 4th grade students are asked to wear " Sunday  / Christmas Best".

Middle school boys will wear a white dress shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a royal blue bow tie. If you have not already, please be sure to send in the $5 for the bow tie.

Middle school girls will wear a white top, black skirt, black tights or hose, and black shoes.

Middle school chorus students will receive a letter grade for the class, and the performance will count for a major test grade. If you know in advance your student is unable to attend, please speak to Mrs Spradlin as soon as possible.

In the event of illness or emergency on the day of the performance, please text Mrs Spradlin at 404-431-4494, and let her know that your student will not attend. Thank you so much for all you do!  We are looking forward to the performance!

Second Annual HSA Week of Holiday Giving!
As our annual BSS Gives Back week concludes, we hope you'll enjoy seeing a glimpse into what our students experienced last week!

Special place mats were colored, cut, and glued to be laminated and delivered to those receiving Meals on Wheels in our community.

Cards were made for Parishioners at Blessed Sacrament Church unable to attend the Advent and Christmas celebrations as well as for members of local retirement communities.

Donations were accepted for families who will celebrate Christmas at the Allied Shelter. Adults and children will open a stocking on Christmas morning filled with toiletries, warm gloves & hats, gift cards, journals designed by our students, and toys. Middle schoolers enjoyed checking their lists twice this morning as they stuffed the stockings!

Our third grade students baked homemade cookies and delivered the treats downtown to our local fire and police station.

The residents of Hillcrest Avenue were treated to beautiful luminaries designed, colored, and delivered by our fourth graders.
Seeing the excitement as our students prepared their gifts from the heart has certainly put all of us in the Christmas spirit! It's a GREAT day to be a Knight!

Thank you Mrs. Klein and Ms. Waldmann for assisting with this wonderful week! Thank you also to parents and grandparents for your donations to our stockings. Many local families will have a brighter Christmas thanks to you and our students.

Fifth Graders Graduate from the D.A.R.E. Program
Last Wednesday our fifth grade students completed and graduated from the D.A.R.E. program. D.A.R.E. is a comprehensive education program taught in thousands of schools across the country including fifth and seventh graders in Alamance County.

D.A.R.E. curricula address drugs, violence, bullying, internet safety, and other high risk circumstances that today are too often a part of students' lives.

MPO Chad Lewis conducted this year's D.A.R.E. education program with BSS fifth graders and was present along with guest speaker, Retired Burlington Police Chief Michael Gauldin.  We were also honored to have Burlington Mayor Pro Tem Celo Faucette in attendance.

Essays were read by the three contest finalists, Grace Stalek, Bacall Sellars, and Ann Marie Gorman and Grace was announced as the Essay Award Winner.

Congratulations to all of our fifth grade D.A.R.E. graduates!
