SUMMER MATH ASSIGNMENTS FOR GRADES 5 - 8 ONLY. It was mailed this week. Available on Ren Web under Resource Documents.

Laura Banse, Amanda Briones, and Claire Webb will be the new members of the St. Monica School Advisory Council. They will each serve a three-year term starting June 1. Congratulations to our new members! We look forward to the ideas, expertise, and energy they will bring to the Council.

Thank you to Jon Isbell, David Martin, and Claudia Mathison who are rolling off the Advisory Council for all of their work and service.

2018-2019 School Year Summer Reading Grades 2 - 8 available on Ren Web under Resource Documents. There are two lists. One list is for Grades 2 - 5 and one list is for Middle School.

BEARCAT ATHLETICS

We have 16 athletes participating in the DPL Student Golf Tournament on Monday at Brookhaven Country Club.
An informational meeting was held Tuesday evening with an over view of athletics for the 2018/19 school year. The handout from the meeting is [here].
Some coaches will try to schedule some summer basketball scrimmages, since we did not form a league this summer within the DPL.
Summer is a great time to process paperwork before school begins. Parents should consider completing the annual Athletic Physical, which is required for all sports. The attached form [click here] can be completed by their family doctor, and it is good for one year from the exam date.
In addition, parents can complete the Impact Parent Permission form and worksheet for athletes to take their ImPACT test for athletics. This is the baseline test used for all athletes age 11 or older. Tests will be completed in the fall, football will be done in August, during school. This test can be used to help diagnose a future head injury, if needed. There are two forms. [parent release form] [ imPACT pre-Worksheet] They can be turned in to the school office.
Parents of athletes interested in football will receive an informational email Monday regarding the practice schedule for July and August.
