Caliendo
EVANGELISM & OUTREACH

Bobby Caliendo
Joins Staff

Bobby Caliendo, a Riverbend member for the past year, has been added to Riverbend's staff as Director of Evangelism and Outreach.

Bobby will be serving in a part-time role overseeing the new "First Impressions" ministry and the new "Growing in Christ" Bible Fellowship Group (see below), as well as other new outreach venues.

"Our elders are excited that Bobby was available to take on this leadership responsibility," said Pastor Scott Menez. "It is obvious from our meetings with him, and what he has been doing in ministry already, that he has a heart for making people feel at home and for reaching people with the gospel."

Bobby has preached a couple of times at Riverbend, has taught several times at WARM (Women Assisting Recovering Mothers) and in Bible Fellowship Groups and has been involved in local evangelism.

He was ordained as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and served on that church's Finance Board; worked at various times with youth, college students and young marrieds; organized Mercy Ministries; and created a curriculum for Evangelism and Discipleship.

"One of my primarily goals," said Bobby, "is to continue serving alongside other Riverbenders in compassionately engaging families and our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ."

Bobby recently completed his Master of Divinity degree in Christian Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He has degrees from Stetson University (Bachelor of Business Administration) and the University of Virginia (Master of Accountancy). He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Bobby has coached youth in basketball, soccer and football. A few years ago, he also developed the curriculum and taught business ethics to international college students during a missions evangelism trip to Kosovo.

He and wife Heather are Florida Foster/Adoptive Parents and have three children: Roman (10), Nolan (8) and Thomas (4).
