IRVIVE01 HITS THE ROAD FOR THE INTERNATIONAL

CUBESAT CONFERENCE

The Irvine CubeSat STEM Program team, Irvine01, had the opportunity to attend the International CubeSat Conference at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in April. This event brings together CubeSat developers from education and industry to share knowledge and experience in developing these small satellites. From cutting edge designs to lessons learned, the workshops provided valuable insight for both new and current members of the international CubeSat community, and we are so proud that our Irvine01 team is a part of this prestigious group. In addition, Irvine01 was the first high school team to attend this workshop, and greatly impressed many industry professionals with their enthusiasm, in-depth discussions and passion for the program.

The Irvine01 students have truly put IUSD in the spotlight with the likes of NASA personnel, company CEOs and representatives, and universities - opening the door to many exciting STEM opportunities for all of our students. To view photos from the conference, visit.

IPSF is proud to be one of the program's founding partners, providing initial funding to get the launch off the ground. We hope to spur investment from other public and private organizations in Irvine CubeSat and are seeking partners to expand the program.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS SUMMER?

The deadline to register for Summer Enrichment Academy K-12 is coming up on Friday, June 3 - and classes are filling up fast! Students can enjoy the summer having fun and exploring in an educational setting through a variety of exciting classes in subjects including STEAM, grade level prep, programming, performing arts, sports, and much more!

The ACE program is a high quality district-wide program that provides opportunities for IUSD students in elementary and middle school to participate in classes both fun and academic while staying in their school environment.

I PSF is excited to welcome our newest partner in education, Huntington Beach-based apparel company, Travis Mathew. The Travis Mathew Ice Cream Truck will be onsite at our 6th Annual IPSF Tee it Up for Education Golf Tournament serving up fresh and premium apparel for all golfers!
