The Thursday Afternoon Edition

Rochester's ghosts come to life on Arnold Park
GW logo

The daylight is waning as the days go by and so is the opportunity to get tickets to The Landmark Society's 2011 Ghost Walk. Join lantern bearing guides as we explore a unique street in Rochester--Arnold Park. Historic preservation is about bringing new life to older structures and the amazing homes on Arnold Park are never more lively than when they have a ghost on their porches or steps. You will love the Second Empire rooflines, the Gothic Revival details, the Colonial Revival pilasters--as you shudder at the dark side of Rochester's real history.

Can you handle the truth? Advance sale tickets are $15 and may be purchased here or at Parkleigh (215 Park Ave.). Landmark Society members may get $10 advance tickets through The Landmark Society only. Tickets at the door (if available) will be $18 for all.

The results are in! Each year, The Landmark Society polls selected candidates running for office in Monroe County about their positions on preservation-related issues. Take a look at the responses on our website before you go to the polls so that you know where candidates stand on the issues that are important to our communities, our economies, and our sense of place.
