THO CONDEMNS SHOOTING TARGETING U.S. EMBASSY IN ANKARA
THO condemns in the strongest terms the drive-by shooting in the early hours of August 20 that targeted the U.S. Embassy in Ankara. We express our relief that no one was injured in the attack.

Regardless of ups and downs in the bilateral relationship between the U.S. and Turkey, both countries are NATO allies with a long history of cooperation and commitment to shared values. Attacks like this most recent incident cannot break the bonds shared by Washington and Ankara. We extend our thoughts to the members of the U.S. Embassy community in Ankara, and we condemn any and all attempts to sow discord through violence.
THO wishes those who celebrate a very happy Eid al-Adha/Kurban Bayramı/Feast of the Sacrifice.

As a Turkish-American organization, we send warm regards to the Turkish and American Muslim communities on this special day.
