THO express sadness at the passing of Nabi Sensoy, former Turkish Ambassador to the U.S.
THO was very sad to learn of the passing of Amb. Nabi Sensoy, who served as Turkey's ambassador to the U.S. from 2006 to 2009. Amb. Sensoy contributed to U.S.-Turkey relations during a critical period in the alliance. In addition to serving as Turkey’s ambassador in Washington, Amb. Sensoy served as Turkey’s ambassador to Russia and Spain, and he also served as Chief of Staff for President Turgut Ozal. Earlier in his career, Amb. Sensoy was Turkey’s Consul General in London, and he served in the Turkish Embassy in Washington as a counselor from 1980 to 1983.

We send our condolences to his family, friends, and the Turkish diplomatic community.
