Update from THO Summer Research Program
THO Summer Research Program scholars meet with Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA)

On July 19, 2018, Turkish Heritage Organization launched its inaugural Summer Research Program in Turkey. This year’s program is taking eight researchers to four cities — Washington, D.C., Istanbul, Ankara, and Gaziantep — to explore how government agencies, academics, NGOs, and the private sector are responding to the refugee and displacement crisis.
To see what we’re up to each day during the program, follow our updates using the hashtag #THOSummerResearch on our Twitter , Facebook , Instagram , and LinkedIn profiles.

You can also follow our program updates each week on our blog, Meddah. Last week, the scholars met with representatives from U.S. government agencies, Congressional offices, international organizations, and NGOs in Washington, D.C. before heading off to Istanbul.

This week, the scholars will be in Istanbul to begin the dive into their research in Turkey.
