THO SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM SCHOLARS CONDUCT MEETINGS IN ISTANBUL
THO’s Summer 2018 Research Program scholars met with Bashar Akak of Small Projects Istanbul.
From July 21-29 , THO’s Summer 2018 Research Program scholars were in Istanbul to meet with a wide variety of think tanks, research centers, civil society organizations, and representatives of the business community to gain insights on responses to the refugee crisis in Turkey.
To see what we’re up to each day during the program, follow our updates using the hashtag #THOSummerResearch on our Twitter , Facebook , Instagram , and LinkedIn profiles.

This week, the scholars will be in Ankara, after which they will travel to Gaziantep for the final full week of the program. The scholars will return to Washington, D.C. in mid-August for a final round of discussions with governmental and nongovernmental stakeholders.
