July 16: Event with retired General Salih Zeki Colak
Please join THO and BAU International on Monday, July 16, for an exclusive interview with the former Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, Gen. (Ret.) Salih Zeki Colak. This event will focus on the second anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey that took place in 2016.
THO’S SUMMER 2018 RESEARCH PROGRAM TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK
From July 18 to August 13, we will carry out our first Summer Research Program in Turkey. The theme for this inaugural year is “ Refugees and Asylum-Seekers in Turkey: Challenges, Opportunities, and Approaches.”

Throughout the program, eight young American researchers will meet with government agencies, private sector representatives, and civil society organizations in Washington, D.C., Istanbul, Ankara, and Gaziantep to carry out individual research projects exploring the refugee and displacement crisis.
