We are now accepting applications for our Summer 2018 Research Program in Turkey !

The THO Summer Research Program in Turkey is an annual, all-expenses-paid, month-long research trip in Turkey, during which selected young researchers will participate in meetings, excursions, and fieldwork on a chosen subject.

This year’s theme is “ Refugees and Asylum-Seekers in Turkey: Challenges, Opportunities, and Approaches .”

APPLICATION DEADLINE. April 2nd, 2018 at 11:59 PM

DATES. July 18-August 15, 2018

ELIGIBILITY. The program is open to current undergraduate/graduate students or recent graduates between the ages of 21 and 30. You must also be an American citizen to apply.

THO continues congressional outreach
THO is continuing its outreach to congressional offices. In recent weeks, THO President Ali Cinar has met with Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), Rep. Steve Stivers (R-OH), Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), and Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY).

Last week, THO Executive Director Yenal Kucuker met with Rep. Steve Russell (R-OK).

THO leadership and staff members also met with the staff of Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ).

On Monday, March 5, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Roy Gutman visited THO’s D.C. office, where he met THO President Ali Cinar and THO Executive Director Yenal Kucuker.
