Marion Stokes
on fifty (50) years of active law practice. Stokes graduated from Emory Law School in 1967 and
served as an enlisted man in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967-1968. Upon completing his active military service in 1968, Stokes joined a creditor rights law firm in Atlanta. He later started the law firm now known as
SCE
in 1972. Stokes also served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserves, JAG Corps, from 1968-1972.
Stokes is rated “AV® Preeminent®” by Martindale-Hubbell (the highest rating given). He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Commercial Law League of America, the Union Internationale des Avocats, and numerous other legal groups. Stokes is the author of "The Seller's Credit Guide" and numerous articles on collection law. He is considered one of the "deans" of the collection law bar in Atlanta.
