The Wreck on the Five-Twenty-Five by Thornton Wilder directed by Jen Poulin, Associate Artistic Director featuring Matthew Reeder, Artistic Director Jana Liles and Michael Pacas Thornton Wilder's cozy and nostalgic suburban setting becomes the source of existential crisis for a man challenged to reexamine his life. Rhythmic dialogue provides a reassuring image of hearth and home, but simple questions reveal the uneasy counterpart and apocalyptic anxieties lurking beneath everyday events. This season, BackStage explores proximity and the distance between family members that may exist, no matter how physically near they are. Faraway... so close.
