FREE Concert This Friday!
Beatles BandThe first show of the "Hot Summer Nights, Cool Summer Sounds" concert series features Ticket to The Beatles at Des Peres Park this Friday, June 13, 7-9:30 p.m. Bring the family out to enjoy great music in our beautiful park! Overflow parking is available in the Edward Jones garage on Ballas Road. Boy Scout Troop 313 will have concessions available, but you may bring in your own food and drink as well. Alcohol is permitted; no glass bottles please. In the event of inclement weather, call 314-835-6138 after 4 p.m. to check the status of the concert. Mark your calendar for the other summer concerts: 7 Bridges Road (Eagles tribute band) on July 11 and Dogs of Society (Elton John tribute band) on August 8! CLICK HERE for more information! Outdoor Pool Programming Note:
The Splash & Dash race scheduled for this Saturday, June 14, was cancelled due to low enrollment. Consequently, we WILL have River Walking this Saturday at its regular, scheduled time of 10-10:45 a.m.
Summer Solstice Party!
ODPThe City of Des Peres invites Des Peres Residents and Lodge Members to The Lodge Outdoor Pool for a summer solstice party to celebrate the Outdoor Pool's 10th birthday on Friday, June 20, 6-9 p.m.! Bring your family for swimming, games, live DJ, free food and fun giveaways! Please bring your Lodge membership or Resident ID card for entry to this free event! "En Garde" for Fencing Camp!
Fencing PictureThis camp offers an excellent introduction to the Olympic sport of fencing. Often called "physical chess," fencing is a safe and fun activity that hones both the body and the mind. Receive expert training from former National Egyptian Coach, Hossam Hassan. Camp will include stretching, drills, supervised fencing bouts, games and other fun activities. Equipment provided. Camp runs June 23-27, 8:30-11:30 a.m., and July 28-August 1, 12-3 p.m. CLICK HERE for details!
Mad Science Camp: Red Hot Robots!
Camp PictureLearn about the uses of robots in our world and spend time experimenting with super cool robots at this hands-on camp! Experiment with sound sensing robots, line-tracking robots, amphibious robots and robots that can even play soccer! Discover the science of circuits and how robots use sensors to explore things around them. Use your skills to build your own working robot to take home with you!
