summer concertThe final show of the "Hot Summer Nights, Cool Summer Sounds" concert series features Dogs of Society, an Elton John tribute band, at Des Peres Park on Friday, August 8, 7-9:30 p.m. Bring the family out to enjoy great music in our beautiful park! Facility Closures in August:
Fitness Center RenovationsThe lower level of The Lodge will be closed August 11-17 for annual maintenance and facility improvements. The fitness center and track will be closed 4 days earlier, August 7-17. Group Exercise classes are not in session August 11-17 as this is the planned week off. The Lodge Outdoor Pool will be open regular hours; enter through the Outdoor Pool gates. We have partnered with 4 area recreation centers to provide you with alternative facilities as we work to improve The Lodge! Please provide your Lodge membership card at the following locations August 7-17 for access to these facilities (no programs are included in this partnership): Sunset Hills Community Center, The Center of Clayton, The Heights Recreation Center and The Pointe at Ballwin Commons (August 9-17 only due to maintenance). Hours and amenities vary by location for partner facilities. Please call or visit facility websites for more details. CLICK HERE for details! NOTE: If you need a replacement membership card, stop by the front desk by August 10 to get a FREE one. Just show your driver's license to receive your new card!
Youth Dance Registration Now Open!
Our 24-week youth dance program offers an entire school year of instruction in the fine art of dance. First semester emphasis is on rhythmic training, coordination, grace and posture for the young dance student. Second semester emphasis is on dance routines in preparation for the spring recital. Get Hooked on FishEd this Fall!
Youth Fishing DerbyLearn to fish and build on your fishing techniques at our FishEd program! We will learn how to tie knots, rig a pole and catch fish! Equipment, instruction and supervision will be provided. FishEd meets at the Des Peres Park lake dock on Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m., beginning September 2. FREE Kindermusik Demo!
Kindermusik 2Kindermusik guides participants through activities that promote musical skills, coordination, language development, problem solving and social interaction. A FREE demo is being offered Monday, August 18, at 9:30 a.m. This demo is intended for families who have not previously attended Kindermusik. To RSVP, call the Community Music School of Webster University at 314-968-5939. Regular classes are offered for infants and children up to 6 years old starting in September. CLICK HERE for details!
