Annual Egg Hunt This Saturday! The annual Egg Hunt at Des Peres Park is this Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m. sharp! Children, ages 3-6 years old, will be able to participate in the big scramble. Our special guest will be the Easter Bunny, so be sure to stop by, rain or shine, with your Easter basket in hand. Pictures are also available with the Easter Bunny. Softball Umpires Wanted! The Lodge has immediate openings for softball umpires to for our spring/summer co-ed and women's recreational leagues. Games are Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6-8 p.m. Pay range is $20-$30 per game dependent upon experience and qualifications. Get Hooked on Fishing! Kids, ages 6-11, will learn to fish and practice fishing techniques after school at our 4-week FishEd program starting April 7. Students will learn how to tie knots, rig a pole and catch fish! Equipment, instruction and supervision provided. This program takes place on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. at the dock in Des Peres Park. Helmet Safety Check April 11! Children, bring your helmets to this event and a trained professional from St. Louis Children's Hospital will conduct a free check for a correct fit and ensure that it is an approved helmet! If your child needs a different helmet or does not have one, we can provide a helmet for $11. Parents and kids will also be taught how to put a helmet on correctly. Tennis Lessons Start Soon! Our tennis program is designed for youth players of all skill levels. Lessons will cover all the basics needed to start enjoying the great lifetime sport of tennis! Two instructors will be on hand to teach the fundamentals of tennis: grip, forehand, backhand, serving, scoring, positioning and court zones. Classes are offered for ages 4-6, 7-10 and 11-15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Des Peres Park starting April 14. Call 314.835.6150 to register!
