Understanding the Relationship Between Epilepsy and Autism


You and your family are invited to join Dr. Gaitanis, The Matty Fund and The Autism Project as we explore the relationship between these two illnesses. The program is free but registration is required.

Matty's Memorial Day 5K  Moves Wakefield



Matty's Memorial Day 5K is coming to Wakefield! We are proud to announce the race will be run through downtown Wakefield - before the Memorial Day parade.  For a decade, this popular event was held at the University of Rhode Island.

The race will start from the parking lot of the new BankRI in Wakefield.  Registration starts at 7 am. Matty's Mighty Dash starts at 8:30 am and the 5K starts at 9 am. The race ends at the Mews Tavern where the runners will enjoy a BBQ. 

Registration will start soon. Be sure to check our website ( to register early 
and save.

April vacation means it is time for Camp Matty.  Our therapeutic horseback riding camp is a favorite among children with epilepsy.  And like all Matty Fund programs, it is free of charge to the families we serve.
