The honored guests at last weekend's annual Meadowdale Motorsports & Memories Car Show were the four drivers that formed one of the most successful sports car race teams of the late 1950s and early 1960s - the Meister Brauser Racing Team.

Augie Pabst, Harry Heuer, Bill Wuesthoff and Don Devine scored numerous victories and several National Championships campaigning big, front engined sportscars like the Bocar, Chaparral 1 and the legendary Meister Brauser Scarab.

On Saturday evening, a banquet was held in honor of the Meister Brausers. After which, an unforgettable panel discussion where the 4 discussed 'how it was out there' in the early days of US road racing (much of which may have actually been true) was moderated by our friend Larry Fulhorst.

A great time was had by all.

Several years ago, we published a Limited Edition of 200 signed & numbered prints from a Michael Turner painting entitled 'Meister Brauser Scarab'.

The print commemorates Augie Pabst's victory in the 1959 Labor Day race at Meadowdale Raceway. Each copy was signed by Augie at the time.

At the end of the evening the remaining team drivers, Devine, Heuer and Wuesthoff added their signatures to 12 copies of 'Meister Brauser Scarab'. Each was presented with a copy, two were donated to the Meadowdale International Raceway Preservation Association (MIRPA) for auction at a later date and one was added to the Motorsport Collector Archive Collection.

We are offering the remaining 5 copies of this rare grouping to subscribers of TMC's Email Updates on a 1 copy limit, first come / first served basis for $140.00 each. Order HERE.

Limited Edition copies of 'Meister Brauser Scarab' signed by Turner and Pabst are still available for $100 each. Order HERE.

If you are interested in joining MIRPA and attending future events like this, check out their website HERE.

There's still time to take advantage of our offer of a free autographed poster with the purchase of a 1/18 scale Schuco model of Sir Jack Brabham's 1960 World Championship winning Cooper Type 53 but we're down our last case. Order here while you can.

Orders for Spark Model's 1/43 scale replicas of entries in this year's 24 Hour races at Spa and the Nurburgring must be in by Thursday, October 2. There will be no extras.

You can download pdf files of both the Spa 24 Hour and Nurburgring 24 Hour entries by clicking on the links.

AutoArt is the latest manufacturer to produce a 1/18 scale model of the classic McLaren F1 LM in 'Historic Orange'. Better than most, we understand. Reserve one HERE.

In a slightly different shade of orange, the long-awaited 1/18 scale Jagermeister BMW M1 is due to arrive from Minichamps in early October. $155.00 plus shipping. Reserve HERE.

We're still researching the driver and car pictured in this very early (1957) Michael Turner painting commissioned by American privateer Lupton V. Rainwater.

If you can add anything to the story, please drop me an email.
