St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
Centered in God, Focused on Others

Sunday Services: 8:00 AM & 10:00 AM
Office Hours are Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

We will be meeting in the Parish Hall after the 10:00 service
THIS Sunday  to discuss our plans for Ash Wednesday (2/14) and the Lenten worship services. If you have some ideas and would like to lend a hand, please plan on attending.

We have scheduled a "Winter Doldrums" edition of "Paint and Pot Luck Night"  with our wonderful guests from Friendship Home for Saturday, February 3 at 5:00 pm.

Sarah Doremus will be guiding us in a Winter themed painting just in time for Valentines Day.  We anticipate the cost for parishioners will be $15.00. Everyone who attends should bring a hearty pot luck meal. All comfort food is welcome seeing this will be in February. Our 15 guests from Friendship Home will be bringing desserts. Please let me know as soon as possible if you plan to attend as seating is limited to 15 to 20 folks from St. Andrew's.This is always such a fun and delicious event!

This year's Annual Meeting is fast approaching!  Committee reports for the Annual Meeting should be in the office by January 15th so copies of the Annual Report can be printed and made available prior to the meeting. Please contact Carole if there is a problem submitting one.

Once again, we will join together at 9:00 AM on that Sunday for a breakfast prior to calling the meeting to order. Contact Bill Sprows if you are available to help organize and prepare the breakfast at

To date, we have received 71  pledges totaling $98,215.00 towards our goal of $115,000.00. We are so close!

If you have not yet pledged, we hope you will prayerfully consider doing so. It is helpful to the Vestry to have accurate pledge numbers for them to plan the 2018 budget for the annual meeting. If you could get your pledge in by January 15 th  we would be very grateful!

If you have not pledged, but are considering doing so, you may like to read the attached speech given by Sarah Hogan about what St. Andrew's means to her and why she gives. It was a very moving and powerful testimonial.

Ryan Shaw and his classmate Jake Sullivan-Hasson are holding a food drive for the Pembroke Food Pantry as their senior project for the Pembroke High School National Honor Society. For the next several weeks, there will be a box for donations located at church in the Narthex. The food pantry has expressed a need for canned goods and toiletries. All donations are greatly appreciated.

St. Andrew's Contact Needed

We are looking for a volunteer to be our contact with Rehoboth Shelter in Norwell. Rehoboth is an emergency shelter operated by Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore. Activities we have done with them in the past include our annual "Kitchen/Bath Shower", a family day at StarLand, and even some kitchen renovations. Sharyn Burden is the Assistant Program Director and she is our main contact person there.
We need a volunteer or two from St. Andrew's to keep this important community relationship going. If you can offer your time to keep in contact with Sharyn about their needs and help plan the "Shower" in the spring, please contact Rev. Jan or a Vestry member.  THANK YOU!
