This Sunday Night and First Missionary Baptist Church (Blue Spring)

The tensions, often hostilities, between races in our country seem to be worse than in a long, long time. And lots of us wonder what, if anything, we can do.

Well, one thing we can do is nurture our relationships with our Christian brothers and sisters from First Missionary Baptist Church (Blue Spring). The intention of our late Pastor Emeritus, Ralph Langley, and Julius Scruggs, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, was to help break down racial barriers in Huntsville by inviting the people of their congregations to worship together.

So let’s be great hosts for our brothers and sisters from First Missionary Baptist Church this Sunday evening! Dr. Scruggs will be preaching. Their choir will be singing. We will enjoy fellowship over great food afterwards.

The service begins at 6:30. (The Mosaic Worship Service will still take place at 5:00 in the Life Center.) I do hope you will be here to enrich our fellowship with our friends from Blue Spring.

Your pastor,
Travis

On October 21 we will join together at our very own Mobility Worldwide warehouse to help build and pack mobility carts for those in underprivileged communities that have lost the use of their legs. Children age 10 and up are welcome, too, and childcare and activities will be provided at the church for younger children. Childcare will be 8:30-11:30 and we will be at the warehouse from 9:00-12:00 that morning.
