With Grateful Thanks...

On behalf of the Morse/Regan/Wood family, I'd like to thank Rev. Jan for being so kind and helpful in planning the funeral service for my mother Maureen. Your suggestions for the readings and especially the psalm were very helpful and appropriate. Thank you to Carole for the lovely Irish touches in the bulletin. Thank you to the wonderful group of ladies that either worked to assist during the service or after with the collation. Thank you to the prayer shawl makers. My aunt was very pleased to receive one. (I'm going to be picking one out too.) Thank you to everyone that kept us in your prayers. Thank you all for being an excepting and loving church family.

God Bless You,
Mary Wood

BE A PART OF ST. ANDREW'S
Thank you to everyone who helped with our many activities this past week. From cleaning to kitchen crew to church setup, many hands truly did make light work. Your ministry and efforts are truly appreciated!
SHARING YOUR TIME AND TALENTS...
ONGOING WAYS YOU CAN BE A PART OF ST. ANDREWS:
Being a part of a Church Family means there is always room to be involved and lend a hand. Here are some ways you can lend your time or talent to St. Andrew's this fall:
ALTAR GUILD:  The Altar Guild is actively looking for new members to join our ministry. Altar Guild is responsible for the care and setting of the altar each Sunday including all special services for holidays, holidays, weddings, baptisms and funerals. The Altar Guild operates with teams of four to five members who are on duty for a month several times throughout the year. During that month, it requires an individual time commitment of about 1-2 hours which includes setting up ahead of and cleaning up after services. New members work closely with experienced members until they are comfortable with the care of the altar on their own. Please contact Sue Scopeletti or Elise McKee if you are interested in becoming a member. We would love to have you join us!
COFFEE HOUR FELLOWSHIP:  A cookie, a cup of coffee, and a smile can go a long way! Grab a friend or two and help keep this special time of fellowship going. If you are interested in hosting an upcoming Coffee Hour, please call or email Janet Keane at jkp482000@yahoo.com .
LAY READERS / CHALICE BEARERS:   The role of the Lay Ministry in our parish life is to represent the lay fellowship of Christ during our worship services... either reading Bible passages, leading prayers, distributing the wine, and occasionally acting as acolyte, when necessary. Karen Troupe is looking for more people to read the Lessons and Prayers of the People when we return to two services in September. She especially hopes those who attend the 8 o'clock service would be able to help out once a month or so. This is for Lay Reading only, although anyone who would like to be trained as Chalice Bearer are also welcome. Please contact Karen at: karentroupe@gmail.com  or leave a message at the church office.
MUSIC MINISTRY:
Adult Choir The adult choir is always looking for new members. No experience necessary. Time commitment is generally no more than 1 hour per week. It's a very fun and rewarding experience. Please consider joining! See Sean Glennon for more information.

Hand Bell Choir - Do you want to join a choir, but you don't like to sing? We have the solution - join the Hand Bell Choir! It's fun and simple. We'll provide step-by-step instruction and you'll have a great time. Rehearsal is only 1 hour per week, and we perform on most holidays and at special services. See Sean Glennon or Jody Wood for more information.
AND there are so many more opportunities to be a part of things at St. Andrew’s…Garden/Grounds Care, Food Pantry, Sunday School Volunteer, Holiday Fair, Cookie Sale, Christmas Pageant, Outreach, Ushers, Youth Leader, Church Work Days, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Stewardship…
find what speaks to you and get involved!
ACOLYTES
Anyone in grade 2 and up (YES! this includes adults!) can serve as an Acolyte. If you or your child would like to serve as an Acolyte, please contact Gary Innes at: garyinnes57@gmail.com ** Remember, Acolytes will also be able to attend Church School on the day that they serve.
