Pat's Pointers

Shhhh..... Don't tell anyone, but we are on vacation. A little getaway to rest and recharge. The next month or two will be challenging and I hope to hit it will guns blazing.
As we travel around to various communities, I like to stop and investigate computer shops on the road. To be honest, a lot of them are going away. One in Mason City just went away last week. It's a scary thought, because in this world of quicker and cheaper computer repairs, some customers just don't care who works on their computer.
We do our best and strive to make the customer #1. Sure, we make mistakes, but we own them and do our best to make things right with the customer. Sometimes a computer will take longer to fix than we think it will, but that's only because we want to get the job done right the first time.
Next week, we'll throw you a few tips, but this week I just wanted to say "Thanks!"
Have a fantastic week!

Bob's Bits Bytes
Hello, Bob here again with this week's Bits & Bytes.
Computer junk is simply files on your computer that are no longer needed by your operating system or programs and just take up space. I recommend a program called "CCleaner" -- formerly known as "Crap Cleaner." This program cleans out old system files, program files, orphaned files and many other files that are no longer used by your computer.
The tool is powerful, so for the best results, just use the "Cleaner" part of it and it may give you added space to your hard drive.
You can find it at:

The best part, it's free!!
Stop by or call the shop Monday - Friday from 10am - 6pm or Saturday from 10am - 2pm. Our number is 456-1936. |
