With Memorial Day just around the corner, summer will be in full swing. We are going to kick it off with our loved Matanza on the patio. We have to limit it to 150 people in order to ensure everyone has their fill of the wonderfully delicious horno cooked pork. For groups that want to come, we will set tables just for you based on the number of tickets purchased.

| The lecture is about the plethora of problems the New Mexicans faced between the years 1846 when the Americans arrived and the achievement of statehood in 1912. The lecturer will be Don Bullis, holder of a BA from Eastern New Mexico University in American history and literature. This event is made possible by OASIS, a non-profit educational organization open to anyone over 50 years of age. |

| Albuquerque has been identified to be one of the best locations to view this rare annular solar eclipse. Telescopes fitted with solar filters that will be projected on a giant LCD screen inside the Balloon Museum will be provided by the Albuquerque Astronomical Society. Make sure to be there and witness the "ring of fire" that the center point creates as the moon's shadow fills the entire surface of the sun's center. |
