For the past three years I have enjoyed every minute of being your County Clerk & Recorder.  Public Service is a calling for citizens to step up and share their talents to better our government.  I have been thankful for your continued support and confidence in my position.

Together we have transformed the office, revolutionized the way in which you interact with your government online, improved efficiency, and expanded voting opportunities.

This week I accepted a position working at Kishwaukee College as their Director of Human Resources.  It was not an easy decision, but after discussing the opportunity with my family it is the correct one for us to pursue. My professional background, academic training, and passion is Human Resources, so this opportunity was a natural fit to continue my service to our community.

I am proud of my accomplishments.  I have finished everything I set out to do, and the projects that were started early this year will conclude at the end of this month.

This is also a good time for a transition in officeholders as the 2014 election cycle has not yet started, giving my successor the ability to oversee the election process from the beginning to next November.

I look forward to the challenges ahead and will always be available for advice and a resource for my successor.

With Warm Regards,

John J. Acardo
