WE HAVE TWO NEW FIRE RESCUE STATIONS. HAVE A LOOK.
The Alachua County Commission recently cut ribbon on two  new Fire Rescue Stations: Station 33 (5901 N.W. 34th Blvd., Gainesville) and Station 40 (14377 N.E. US Highway 301, Waldo). Both stations feature energy efficient equipment and sustainable design building features, and 100% back-up generated power. Brame Heck Architects provided architectural and engineering services for the project, and the D.E. Scorpio Corporation is the construction management firm. Watch the video .
19th Annual Trashformations Recycled Art Competition
The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners, the Office of Waste Alternatives, and the Florida Museum of Natural History are hosting the 19th annual Trashformations Recycled Art Show and Competition.   Read more .

Fall in Love with a Shelter Pet Adoption Event

Alachua County Animal Services invites you to 'Fall' in Love with a Shelter Pet. Animal Services is offering waived adoption fees for all cats and dogs through Saturday, October 21, 2017. Animal Services Headquarters (3400 NE 53rd Ave, Gainesville) is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with adoptions ending at 5 p.m. Read more.
