Selfie-Worthy: Middle Schoolers Try Their Hand at Cello and Violin
Chaos and Joy: Second Trenton Music Makers Site Opens at Dunn Middle School
M iddle School is different.

We thought we'd need to recruit intensively, that our teachers should visit sixth and seventh grade classrooms and demonstrate a little of what they'd be teaching and what the new after-school orchestra would be like. Get a few kids to come, who would then get their friends. Maybe we'd have 20, which would be enough to launch the new site.

"Hey guys," said Antonio Ruiz, our new Site Coordinator and a very popular math teacher at Dunn School, "I think you're not going to need to recruit. The word is out and I already have a waiting list."

A waiting list? Before we'd even begun to recruit?

Music for the Very Young Begins New Partnership with Trenton Head Start
The new version of our partnership with Trenton Head Start hit the ground running last week at the Children's Home Society of NJ. After a hiatus of several years, we are delighted to be back with our friends there, and making music with another crew of Trenton preschoolers.
Original Trenton Music Makers Site Expands to 65
On September 27, our original Trenton Music Makers site at Grant Elementary School opened its doors for the new program year. The players from our 2015 pilot program, together with the cohort that joined us in 2015-16, welcomed a new group of players. 65 students of violin, viola, and cello have started another great year of Trenton Music Makers.
These Musicians Thrive With Your Support.

You have attended our concerts, donated instruments, told your friends, followed our progress, given these players a hand. Thank you!
