July 2012
2012 Performance Management changes to lesson observation: Are you ready?

The Ofsted Framework is changing from September.

The big change is that 'satisfactory' (lessons, teaching and learning and overall school effectiveness) will no longer exist.

Instead the judgments are Outstanding, Good, Requiring Improvement or Inadequate.

To reflect these changes, Mediamerge will release revised new Ofsted feedback reports and guidance to the changes in for their series of filmed lesson observations.

'Observing for Impact' is a key resource in helping schools ensure their observation process is robust, reliable and understood by all teachers.

This is particularly necessary when joint observations become the norm in inspections from September'. This resource will also be updated to reflect these changes.

Mediamerge are committed to ensuring that their CPD materials are useful and relevant as possible, and therefore existing customers, and those customers who purchase materials before September, will receive the new materials at no extra cost.
