Great River Energy helps member co-op support rural economic development with loan

Serenity Living Solutions in Remer, Minn., recently opened its doors to residents looking to move in. The facility received a $230,000 USDA Rural Development Loan acquired with help from its electric cooperative Lake Country Power and the economic development services team of Great River Energy. Electric co-ops collaborating to bring broadband to rural communities

 
Electric cooperatives turned the lights on for many rural residents who were left in the dark until the 1930s. Now they plan to connect members to the world through broadband internet deployment in those same communities. READ MORE
