After months of anticipation, the PBNYC Cycle 6 results are in! I am so proud that we were able to nearly double the voter turnout
in our second year of participatory budgeting,
which represents the number of District 35 residents we galvanized into action. A total of
2,743 votes were received, in comparison to 1,660 votes in 2016. Your ballot helped determine how to spend $1 million within our community. Congratulations on a job well done!
From neighborhood assemblies and agency briefings to hosting polling sites, I want t
o thank my facilitators, budget delegates and volunteers for assisting my office throughout this entire process, I also want to thank
our public schools ( P.S. 9, P.S. 241, P.S. 705, P.S. 532 & P.S. 67 and Community Roots Charter); and our public libraries (Grand Army Plaza, Walt Whitman and Clinton Hill) for their collaboration.
