Fund a Dream was an extraordinary evening, with 450 friends of Serra in attendance. This year, we raised more than $300,000 in scholarship money for Padres who are on financial aid. Thank you to all of you who participated and contributed. This is such an important program, and I can assure you that you are making a significant difference in the lives of our current students.

Our outstanding  event kicked off with a heartwarming speech by David Taufoou '99, founder of the LEMO Foundation. The LEMO Foundation is an organization that inspires and encourages teenagers in our local community. David was followed by a fantastic keynote address from former Foster City Mayor Pam Frisella, the wife of the late Danny Frisella '63 and the mother of Padres Jason '91 and Dan '95.

Our dynamic emcee was Bill Barrett '69, an award-winning radio DJ from New Country 93 KKNU FM in Oregon. Special guests included Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari '09, as well as three Hall-of-Famers - MLB scout Gary Hughes '59 and former Serra baseball coaches Pete Jensen and Rich Jefferies.

This year's event certainly was unforgettable, and we all enjoyed catching up with friends old and new. I hope to see you on campus this spring.

Sincerely,
