What's your Favorite Decade?
It's time for the entire Serra community--alumni, parents, faculty members and friends--to celebrate 75 years of excellence and tradition at Hit the Floor, It's 1944 -- Serra's giant 75th anniversary party.
Pay homage to your favorite decade and dance to the music of the Big Band Era, the rockin' '50s and '60s, the swingin' '70s and the totally awesome '80s and '90s.

Parent Speaker Night on September 17
|
Got teenagers? We are excited to announce that Serra has joined The Common Ground Speaker Series, a consortium comprised of 40 schools on the San Francisco Peninsula. Common Ground hosts distinguished speakers in education, parenting and health at school venues on the Peninsula. Parents at the 40 schools attend Common Ground events free of charge.
The first speaker event will kick off right here at Serra at
7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17 with a very appropriate topic -- "Navigating the Tides of Adolescence. It will be a productive discussion of research trends in adolescent mental health, focusing on anxiety, academic stress, teen decision-making, depression, suicide, peer pressure and living a balanced life. The panel of clinicians will prepare parents for effective conversations with their teens and preteens about these crucial issues. Julie Lythcott-Haims, a former Stanford dean and author of How to Raise an Adult, will headline this important event. KQED's Rachael Myrow will be the moderator.
