Are You Ready for the Election
Thursday September 1, 6:00 p.m.
We're not even talking about the candidates. We're talking about the seventeen propositions on the California ballot. Would you like some help with them?
Thursday, September 1, our speaker will be Myrtle Braxton from the League of Women Voters. She will discuss the California propositions and answer questions. Everyone is invited. Come at 6:00 for potluck dinner at 6:30. The program will begin about 7:00.
Please email or call me if you're planning to come to this event. And if you already have questions in mind, please tell me so I can pass them along to Ms. Braxton in advance.

Pastor Tony's Sermon
August 21, 2016
After worship today, the New Beginnings small groups are meeting. If you weren't with the groups for the first meeting, that's ok; go ahead and join one. We only ask that you not be in the same group as your spouse.
Today you'll be looking at our congregation's passions, gifts and resources, our congregations' blessings, as we move on our journey toward discerning God's call for our congregation.

Jubilee USA
Jubilee USA supports the bi-partisan work of asking for legislation that requires
anonymous companies to be transparent so that the public knows who is benefitting from the company (terrorism?, criminals?, companies not paying their fair share of taxes that would benefit the needy)

Engaging the Scripture
Sunday August 28, 2016
It is easy to show hospitality to our neighbors, who are not strangers; it is more difficult to show hospitality to strangers who are not our immediate neighbors. How can we do the most good and share our resources in order to make a pleasing sacrifice for God?
See you Sunday!
