Performance Series Testing for Grades 9, 10, and 11

The second in the three-part series of Performance Assessments will begin on Monday, February 6 and end on February 18, 2017.  The English assessments are administered the first week and the Math exams are given during the second week.

This year, for the first time, students’ scores on these assessments will be used as one of the prerequisites for placement in courses for the 2017 - 2018 school year.

Because of the new focus being placed on each individual student's assessment scores, we are urging parents and guardians to emphasize this message at home:

Students, please take the Performance Series exams in English and Math seriously.  Do your very best on them.  Your scores on these exams are now prerequisites for placement for many courses for the 2017 - 2018 school year.  Based on your scores on these exams, you might or might not be eligible to be placed in some of the levels of courses you want to take next year.

Should you want additional information about the Performance Series testing or the course selection and student placement processes for 2017 - 2018, please contact Mr. James Corkery, Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs ( [email protected] ).
