Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) at Carroll, known as AFFIRM, ensures that students experiencing barriers to learning are identified and linked to appropriate supportive services in the school and community.

SAP is a voluntary and non-disciplinary program. One of the ways that SAP can support your child is through psycho-educational support groups. Groups such as grief and loss, stress management, dealing with divorce, resiliency skills and anger management, provide students with a safe space to learn and practice coping skills in a confidential setting with peers whilealso educating them with the tools necessary to thrive despite their challenges.

Groups typically run one class period per week for eight to ten weeks. All groups are facilitated by Marguerite DiMattia, the SAP Liaison from Caron Treatment Centers. The Caron Program also offers education and support around drug & alcohol issues and provides assessments through the SAP process.

For more information about Carroll’s Student Assistance Program or the Caron Program, please contact Ms. DiMattia: mdimattia@jcarroll.org

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
