Dear Archbishop Carroll Community,

The school year is off to a fantastic start with impressive performances by our student-athletes in the classroom, on the playing field and in the community.

As the new Athletic Director at Carroll, my primary goal is to develop ALL of our students to face the challenges ahead of them while maintaining a strong faith. In continuing the long tradition of academic and athletic excellence at Archbishop Carroll, I am committed to the student as a whole.

The driving force in my life is my faith in God and the ability to reach out to and relate to students on a level beyond sports. While athletics is a strong vehicle to set and achieve goals, it is not everything. Our students have to be just that – students first. It is important that they know I can offer support in all aspects of their academic, athletic and faith life.

Before Archbishop Carroll, I attended The Haverford School and played hockey for Providence College. I was drafted, out of high school, by the Montreal Canadians, and upon graduating from Providence, I went on to pursue my dream of playing in the National Hockey League.

My experience at Providence afforded me the knowledge of the inner workings of athletic programs and how to support student-athletes.  I understand the importance of parent, teacher and alumni involvement in creating and continuing strong support of academic and athletic programs.

In my previous position, I served as Athletic Director and physical education instructor at Sacred Heart Academy in San Diego, Calif., and was Hockey Director and Head Coach for the La Jolla Jaguars Youth Hockey Organization in La Jolla, Calif.

I am here to support and grow every one of our students. Whether they are a part of ACTS, the band, or just focus on academics, I care about all of them as people and children of God.

I have such a tremendous feeling about Archbishop Carroll and the students. The potential for even greater success here at Carroll is enormous. I look forward to working together with everyone to continue to build an athletic program that emphasizes the “student” in our student-athletes.

Go Patriots!

Sophomore Retreat

On Monday, October 17, the Class of 2019 will participate in their annual retreat at LaSalle University. Students have received an informational letter for their parents/guardians via Theology class and a permission slip which should have been returned to their Theology teacher. Please keep our students in prayer on this day in which we pray they will grow closer to God and those whom He has placed in their lives. Please do not schedule any appointments or family activities for your child on this day as participation is mandatory.

Kairos Retreat
