Dear Archbishop Carroll Community,

It's time to celebrate our HOMECOMING!

Our homecoming weekend will kick off with a pep-rally on Friday afternoon. A highlight of the homecoming pep-rally is the crowning of the faculty king and queen. The court this year is: Mrs. Kaitlin Buchanan, Ms. Ashlyn Llerandi, Ms. Emma McNamara, Ms. Meghan Travaligne, Mrs. Christine Rizzo, Mr. Tom Flannery, Mr. Devin Gallagher, Mr. Bill Gennaro, Mr. Rich Knowlton & Mr. Chris Serpentine

That evening we will hold our homecoming football game against Archbishop Ryan. Prior to the game, at 6:30, will be a ceremony announcing and honoring our football alumni. Kickoff is at 7:00pm.

During halftime we will announce and crown our homecoming King and Queen. The homecoming court is: Kayla Carlin, Catie Carpenter, Katy Curry, Julia Fragale, Megan Foster, Kevin Downs, Steve DeFruscio, Steve Honick, Rich Melito, and Marc Natale!

On Saturday, our homecoming dance is from 7:00 - 10:00pm. After a fun-filled weekend, the homecoming dance is a wonderful and exciting way to celebrate.

Sophomore Retreat

On Monday, October 17, the Class of 2019 will participate in their annual retreat at LaSalle University. Students have received an informational letter for their parents/guardians via Theology class and a permission slip which must be returned to their Theology teacher by Friday, October 7. Please do not schedule any appointments or family activities for your child on this day as participation is mandatory.

Kairos Retreat

A fund to assist those students who are in need of financial help in order to participate in the Kairos experience continues to accept donations. If you would like to sponsor a student (total cost: $280.00) or simply contribute to the fund, please contact Lisa Ritter in the Tuition Office (ext. 136 or [email protected]).

Congratulations to Girls Varsity Tennis for reaching the playoffs and finishing 3rd in the PCL. Their first playoff game is Thursday, October 6 at 3:30 against Lansdale Catholic.

Undefeated Teams

Congratulations to our Varsity Volleyball team who are undefeated overall, and to our Girls Varsity Field Hockey team who are undefeated in the Philadelphia Catholic Leauge!
Archbishop Carroll Golf Compete in the PCL Championships

Carroll finished 5th in team competition this week at the PCL Golf Championships at Melrose County Club. Senior, James Kelly advanced to the District 12 Championship next week.

Homecoming

Homecoming Dance Info

  • The homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, October 8th from 7:00-10:00. Students must register In Student Affairs by tomorrow to attend, but admission is free to Carroll students. No tickets will be available Friday, October 7th. A school I.D. is necessary for both registration and for admittance to the dance that evening.

  • Non-Carroll date permission forms are available in Student Affairs and by clicking HERE. No forms will be accepted after tomorrow (Thursday).  Dates are to be of the opposite sex.  Guests also need a photo I.D. to enter the dance.  If you foresee an issue with your guest’s I.D., students must see the Office for Student Affairs before Friday, October 7th.  Tickets for guests are $20.00. Carroll students are admitted free of charge.

  • According to our handbook, a student must be in attendance in school the day prior to the dance – Friday, October 7th in order to attend. If a student registered for the dance and is unable to attend, a parent must notify the school the evening of the dance by calling 610-688-7610 ext. 110 and leaving a message. We want to ensure the safety of our students at all times.

  • Dance attire is Casual/ Semi-Formal . Suggested attire for gentlemen should be a collared shirt and tie, no jeans, or shorts (a jacket is optional).  Suggested attire for ladies would be semi-formal dresses with attention to appropriate fit, neckline, and length of dress.  Students may be sent home at the discretion of Administration due to inappropriate attire.  Flowers are optional

Yearbooks

Members of the Class of 2017 will receive a copy of the yearbook with their name embossed on the cover as part of the Graduation fee.  

Yearbooks will be on sale for the classes of 2018, 2019, and 2020 until November 17.  The cost is $85.  Yearbooks purchased after October 21st will cost $90.  The deadline for all sales is November 17. Students can place yearbook orders in The Office of Student Affairs.  No extra copies will be available in June, so please plan accordingly. Click HERE for the order form.

Class Rings and Graduation Products

The assembly for juniors and seniors will be on October 25th. Orders for class rings and graduation products will be due on November 9th during the lunch periods.

Father-Daughter Dance

This special event is scheduled for November 11th at Westover Country Club.  Please save the date! Ticket prices include a sit-down dinner, dessert, beverages, Dj, and dancing.  Gurscik Studios will also be available for photo packages. Please click HERE for the invitation. Philadelphia PACCAO Tour 2016

Pennsylvania Association of Catholic College Admissions Officers (PACCAO) will be coming to Carroll on Wednesday, November 16th at 11:30 in the west gym.  A list of colleges that are attending are on Carroll’s website.  Please contact the Guidance Office for more details.

Designer Bag Bingo is 11/4/16.  We are looking for a new TV,  Ipad, or Kindle to raffle off so if you have one please consider donating it!
