This week Chicago is celebrating with the Jackie Robinson West Little League team on their U.S. Championship during the Little League World Series.

Along their way to success, they encountered the Rhode Island Team "Cumberland American," whose heartbreaking loss inspired a speech from Coach Dave Belisle that many of us will not soon forget.

This year for the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games, we are excited to support the International Fair Play Committee (CIFP) as they bring the message of fair play to this incredible, global event in youth sports. Throughout the event, CIFP will be sharing with us stories of fair play and special events from the Youth Olympic Games.

Earlier this month, we shared in the grief of so many as news of Robin Williams' death emerged. Sadly, depression and suicide affect too many families each year. Learn more about the resources available, and how sports and exercise can help reduce the symptoms of depression.

This weekend brings the final deadline to make your nominations for our Athletes in Excellence award. This is your opportunity to recognize those athletes who display outstanding sportsmanship -- both on and off the field.

Email your nomination to awards@globalsportsdevelopment.org, and describe why you think they should become one of GSD's Athletes in Excellence. Five domestic and 5 international athletes will be awarded with a grant of $10,000.
